The current Imperial Grand Duchess Tatiana Emberkeeper is the 2nd daughter of the previous Duchess and the younger sister of the Imperial Crown Prince’s aide Dame Twila Emberkeeper.    

Tatiana grew up attending classes at the imperial palace and playing with the royal children with her elder sister. 

When Tatiana debuted, she took the capital by storm. Her charisma made her the center of attention at every occasion. As Tatiana stabilized herself in high society, she quickly became one of the most influential figures and was granted the title of the “Rose of High Society” by her peers. Soon after her debut, the Empress took Tatiana in as her head Lady-in-Waiting.  

Tatiana has played a significant role in helping the Empress organize and execute some of the Empire’s most significant events. She co-founded the Information Guild because of her supernatural ability to remember events, rumors, and general information.

Before Tatiana was named the Emberkeeper heir, she was promised to be wed to the 3rd son of a Duch from one of the empire’s kingdoms. The two were married the year before she inherited the Duchy. Tatiana made it painfully obvious how much she disliked her husband, but he died within the year she became the Imperial Grand Duchess. 

The Emberkeeper Duchy is a matriarchy with a knightage that rivals the Empire’s Knights Orders. The Imperial family keeps them close because they are the Empire’s biggest defense. Emberkeeper children regularly visit the imperial palace and are typically playmates of the Princes and Princesses. Usually, the Emberkeeper heir is the eldest daughter, but the position has sometimes been passed to a younger daughter.

Planning Prince Cassian’s Coronation Celebration has taken up most of Titiana’s time and energy in the last few months. However, she has still made time to attend important social events and maintain her Duchy.
