Acts

The night will be sectioned into “Acts” and “Breaks” to help with time management and chaos control.

  • Each act will have a specific allotted time.  
  • Everyone is working toward each Act’s overarching mission, and some may receive personal tasks to complete in that Act. 
  • If time runs out and missions or tasks are incomplete, we will still move on to the next Act as best we can with the available information.  
  • Breaks are short periods between Acts to check in with the group and have snacks.
  • At the end of each Break Twila will give an updates from what of the situation at the Imperial Palace. 


Missions & Tasks

Missions, tasks, clues, and general instructions will be sent through Discord on your device.

Always have your device on you because you may receive time-sensitive information or instructions during Acts and breaks.  

Keep in mind that times are tense in the Empire.

Look around. Does anyone in this group of influential people harbor ill will towards you? 

  • Some characters will have reason for animosity towards other characters. They may have the opportunity to take advantage of the situation to “remove an obstacle” or “take revenge.” 
  • It may be helpful to look over character profiles. 
  • In their scheduled Act, the attacker will be instructed on how their attempted murder will go. If the attempted murder fails, the target will have the chance to immediately counterattack.   
  • The success and failure of an “Attack” and “Counterattack” will be decided by the attacker and the target rolling a D20 (20-sided die) and how entertaining your acting skills are. 

!!Not Everyone Will have the Option to be an Attacker, and Not Everyone Will be a Target!!

Attacks & Counter Attacks

Attacks!!

  • The Attacker will act out their attempted murder. 
  • The Attacker and the Target will roll a D20 (20-sided die).
  • If the Attacker’s role-playing is entertaining, they can roll a D4 (4-sided die) to help improve their roll. 
  • The person with the highest roll wins!
  • No one will know who the attacker was if the attack was successful.

Counter Attacks!!

  • If the attacker fails, the Target will have the opportunity to counterattack. 
  • Success and failure will be decided in the same way as the attack. 
  • Suppose the Target’s counterattack fails, or they decide to run away. The Attacker can attack again in a different Act, and the Target has the freedom to spread the word about the attempted muder. 

Word of Warning: Don’t believe everything you hear. 

If You Die

You become Twila’s Shadows!!

  • Don’t interact with the living players!! Unless otherwise instructed. 
  • All information you didn’t share while living, dies with you. 
  • Twila may send you on tasks like setting up clues or setting out fresh yummies. 
  • Overall, enjoy being dead and watch everyone fear for their lives. Eat the food, drink the wine and haunt the living.
